Highlights of Slack Pendleton Round-Up 2013
Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday Slack Highlights
..
The last two weeks I have had the opportunity to shoot two tough ladies running there events, Last week it was at Parker Ranch Labor Day Rodeo in Waimea Hawaii she was a tie down roper and the other was Monday Slack at Pendleton Round’Up with a Shawn Massey running barrels, these two lady should be inducted in to the Tough Cowgirl Hall of Fame.
I heard back from Mrs. Shawn Massey this morning, and she gave me her blessing to post her Monday run that didn’t go as expected, but her Guardian Angels were on duty and pulled her through. One Tough Cowgirl, she got hung up, dragged, and ate a little dirt along the way. And she walked away from it to ride another day, and her message to me was “ I cant wait to run barrels at Round’ Up next year” Can you guess who I will be pulling for next year at Round ‘Up? Thanks for sharing.
With my pass I could shoot anywhere but the arena, To shoot from the arena you had to be issued a photographers vest that I didnt have, and when I tried to shoot the opening ceremony from inside the arena I made it through the first gate and got shot down at the final gate for not having a photographers vest, you have to be PRCA photographer or special media, Next year I hope to qualify to shoot from the arena.
For great shots from inside the arena check out PRCA Photographers, No doubt they will have some fantastic shot up close and personal of the competitors. A short list of PRCA Photographers and some of my favorites are.

With Mrs. Massey's blessing, I post the following photos. Monday Slack didn’t go as expected, but her Guardian Angels were on duty and pulled her through.
